CO₂ at high rate
More infoHide infoTable 1 (CO₂ content, Max. CH). The air/gas ratio valve is factory set and must not be adjusted during commissioning.

Maximum CO
More infoHide infoAt maximum and minimum rate, from the commissioning flowchart (MI p. 73).
Less than 350 ppm
CO/CO₂ ratio
More infoHide infoThe commissioning flowchart (MI p. 73) gives less than 0.0040 at maximum and minimum rate. The servicing schedule (MI 3.1, step 10) prints the limit as 0.004% with a percent sign. Both shown as printed.

Working inlet pressure
More infoHide infoChecked at the inlet gas pressure test point on the gas service cock, boiler in service mode maximum rate. At the meter outlet: 19 mb minimum (allowing 1 mb loss across the pipework). The gas cock can lower the reading at its test point (graph in MI 1.8). Table 1 gives the gas supply as 2H – G20 – 20 mbar. MI 1.8 says the boiler can give full output at inlet pressures as low as 14 mb, but other appliances may not.

Gas rate at maximum
More infoHide infoTable 2 gas consumption, calculated using 38.7 MJ/m³ gross (34.9 MJ/m³ nett). At minimum: 15: 0.310, 18: 0.372, 26: 0.537, 32: 0.661 m³/h. Check at the gas meter at full output with no other appliances in use.

Flue integrity
More infoHide infoAt the air inlet test point (where available), boiler at maximum rate. Where no air inlet test point is provided, the MI says a flue integrity check with the analyser is not possible and the flue must be checked visually instead.
O₂ ≥ 20.6% or CO₂ ≤ 0.2%

Check these figures against the MI for the appliance in front of you, matched by GC number and manual date. Combustion work needs a calibrated analyser and a Gas Safe registered engineer.
